Procedures and documents required for funds transfer
FOR VIETNAMESE CITIZENS
Original payment order (SAIGONBANK forms) or MoneyGram Send Form.
Plus certain supporting documents attached to individual purposes as bellows:
Fund transfer for tuition fees and/or sundry expenses
The tuition fee and/or living expense notification of overseas school or institution issued to the student. If the student’s name is not addressed in the notification, an acceptance letter of the overseas school/ institution or any supporting documents proving that the student is currently studying abroad must be presented.
Copy of student’s passport.
Note: In case there is no notice of the accommodation, subsistence and other relevant expenses, in addition to the notified tuition fees, customers can transfer a maximum amount of USD12,000 per student in one school year.
Fund transfer for medical treatment/examination
The medical examination and/ or treatment application approved by overseas hospital or medical centre; or letter of recommendation issued by domestic hospital /medical centre to address an overseas hospital or medical centre and to refer certain patient for relevant examination and/or treatment.
The notification of expenses or estimated cost applied for the overseas medical facilities.
Copy of patient’s passport.
Note: In case there is no notice of the accommodation, subsistence and other relevant expenses, in addition to medical treatment charge notified by the hospital or medical centre, customers can transfer a maximum amount of USD15,000 per patient for each time of treatment.
Fund transfer for overseas business partner’s fee/charge
The amount of fund is based on fee/charge notification issued by the foreign partner.
Copy of the ordering client’s ID.
The foreign fees notification.
Fund transfer for overseas business trips
Written decision for overseas business trip assigned by the company.
Invitation from the foreign institutions or registered mail to attend seminars and conferences overseas (if any).
Fees/cost notification issued by the foreign partner.
Copy of the ordering client’s ID.
Fund transfer for traveling or visiting abroad
Traveler’s passport.
Flight ticket.
Fund transfer for covering allowance to overseas relatives
Documents proving the family relationship.
Documents proving that the allowance beneficiary is currently living abroad.
Copy of the ordering client’s ID.
Fund transfer to heirs living abroad
Document of the inheritance or testament, and agreement amongst the legal heirs (original or certified true copy by a competent public notary office must be presented).
Written power attorney of the heir (which is public notarized or authenticated) or documents evidencing the legal representative of the ordering client.
Copy of the ordering client’s ID.
Fund transfer for immigration settlement in another country
Documents of Immigration Granting/ Permit issued by the competent foreign authorities or written proof showing that the subject Vietnamese citizen is allowed to settle in certain country (copies to be submitted).
Copy of the migrant person’s passport.
Note: Family relationships allowed in this context include the followings:
Parents (both biological and adoptive).
Children (both biological and adoptive).
Spouses.
Biological siblings.
(*) Proof of family relationship is one of the following papers:
a) Birth certificate.
b) Residential household registration booklet.
c) Marriage registration certificate.
d) Certification by the government or local authority to prove the family relationship.
e) In case of adoptive parents and adoptive children, adoption relationship must be certified by a competent authority or government agency authorized by relevant law.
FOR FOREIGN INDIVIDUALS
Individual foreigners can transfer their own funds from eligible sources as below
Foreign currency denominated funds transfer into their own accounts opened at SAIGONBANK.
Foreign currency imported to Vietnam with a customs declaration.
Eligible salary, bonuses and allowances transferred to their salary designated SAIGONBANK accounts while working at organizations in Vietnam.
Simple documents required
